Diego Andreis is an engineer, entrepreneur and passionate experimenter of innovation under all its forms. He continues his studies at SDA Bocconi, Harvard Business School, London Business School and Singularity University.

Since 2009 he has been the Managing Director of Fluid-o-Tech, the family run business with more than seventy years of experience, leader in the engineering and manufacturing of positive displacement pump and fluidics systems or a variety of demanding applications ranging from medical to automotive and foodservice. The company stands out for growth, technology leadership and international presence. Its innovation practice has been awarded 3 times in a row with the Italian National Award for Innovation, received by the Italian Republic President.

Since 2015 he has been enhancing the transformation of the Industry from Mechanical to Mechatronics relaunching its profile and appeal, especially with regards to young people.

He is member of institutional committees to promote an international, competitive and innovative Industry model at Regional (AFIL President and Assolombarda Vice President), National (Federmeccanica Vice President) and International level (WMFoundation President and Ceemet Vice President).

Marco Brunelli

System Simulation enthusiast, MSc in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino (IT) and Master of Engineering at Bath Spa University (UK) in Fluid Power Systems, before starting his own company in 2010, Marco Brunelli worked for nearly 10 years as System Simulation Engineer initially at Mercedes-Benz in Germany then for JEEP in USA and lately LMS International back in EU as EMEA Business Developer for the System Simulation Software Amesim. Marco now covers with his company BSim Engineering, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria and Germany helping companies to innovate products not only with System Simulation but also CFD3D and Testing.

Enrique Busquets
Engineering Director, Bosch Rexroth North America

Dr. Enrique Busquets has been the engineering director with regional product and business development responsibility on electronics, software, telematics, and electrification at Bosch Rexroth North America since April 2021. Additionally, Enrique has been responsible for the testing and validation infrastructure in North America since 2018 and innovations since 2016.
Previously, Enrique Busquets was the engineering manager responsible for systems and software development at Bosch Rexroth North America from 2018 to 2021. The technology focus was on mobile applications with electronified hydraulics and electrified systems.
Enrique holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and a master’s, and doctorate degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University with emphasis on hydraulics and electronics controls.
In addition to his professional activities, Dr. Enrique Busquets is the Bosch Rexroth industry sponsor and representative at the Maha research center and the National Fluid Power association.

Davide Cristofori
Advanced Hydraulics Engineer (Europe)

Davide is currently member of the Advanced Hydraulics team at CNH Industrial within the organization Advanced Technology and Innovation – Zero Emission & Advanced Drivetrain. For the same company he already covered the role of hydraulic design engineer for the Product Development department.

Formerly he worked at Oleobi srl as designer for customized hydraulic manifolds, power units, and test benches.

Davide holds a PhD in fluid power from Purdue University (USA) and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Parma (Italy).

Germano Franzoni
Sr. Systems Engineer and Business Development Manager at Parker Hannifin

Germano Franzoni is currently a Sr. Systems Engineer and Business Development Manager at Parker Hannifin. He is part of the GMS team, located in Chicago, USA. He specializes in hydraulic systems design, business development and R&D. He works side by side with the major OEMs in the construction, mining, vocational truck, and military markets. He obtained his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering in 2006; since then, he has worked full time in the Hydraulics Industry, both in Europe and USA. He is one of the two authors of “Hydraulic Fluid Power”, the most modern and comprehensive textbook in Fluid Power. He holds two patents and is author of several scientific papers.

Marco Guidetti
Chief Technology Officier, Casappa S.p.A.

After graduating in engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 1996, I started my professional career as a test laboratory manager at Casappa SpA.

After attending MBA for workers, in 1999 I took on the role of R&D manager for the same company, covering the position for about 8 years. In this role, as well as dealing with research activities more closely related to products and technologies (experimentation, calculation, modelling and optimisation of behaviour, prototype development), also through a series of collaborations with various Italian universities, between 2000 and 2001 I directed the project aimed at the complete renewal of the product development tools and methods adopted by the company, implementing CAD 3D and PDM/PLM systems.

In 2003 I took on a managerial role and since 2007 my responsibility has extended to the entire technical area as Director of Design and Research & Development at Casappa SpA. In this role, I coordinated the entire technical activity of innovation, development, design and experimentation until 2019.

In 2010 I became part of the company’s Steering Committee made up of the 4 top managers and I remained there until 2019, creating 3 different business plans and contributing to the operational management of the entire company.

Since 2019 as CTO (Chief Technology Officer) of Casappa SpA I am in charge of monitoring, evaluating and selecting new technologies that can be applied to the company’s products, processes or services defining an overall medium/long term technological strategy considering their potential impact on business developments and changes in the company’s business models, ensuring the development of the strategy and defining potential partners or M&A opportunities useful for the implementation of the same technological strategy.

Paolo Leutenegger
General Manager, Duplomatic MS S.p.A.

Paolo Leutenegger is General Manager of Duplomatic MS S.p.A., headquarter of the Duplomatic Group.

He studied Electronics Engineering at Politecnico di Milano and has an Executive MBA. He started his career at the Max-Planck Institute Semiconductor Laboratory in Munich, where he developed high-resolution silicon detectors for X-Ray spectroscopy. In 2001 he joined Thales Alenia Space, formerly Laben S.p.A., an important global player in the aerospace and defence sector, where he grew-up as system engineer and project manager developing scientific equipment for the European and Italian Space Agencies. Among the various projects he participated with leading roles, the most important one is the Planck mission, for which Thales Alenia Space has been responsible both for the spacecraft and one of the two scientific instruments on-board, the Low Frequency Instrument under Italian responsibility.

In 2012 he joined the Liebherr Group in Lindau (Germany), where he worked as Project Manager leading a team of engineers and physicists developing electronics for mobile machines, advanced sensors for hydraulic cylinders and some important developments at Group level.

In 2018 he moved back to Italy where he joined Duplomatic as R&D Director. Since the beginning he spent most of his time in Dubai managing the local branch Duplomatic Middle East that has been awarded with the contract for the hydraulic system developed for the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. In July 2020 he entered the role of General Manager maintaining the responsibility for advanced research and product developments at Group level.

Davide Mesturini

Davide Mesturini has been Research & Development Manager at Walvoil, Interpump Group, since 2015.

Graduated in Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino in 1998 and specialized in Hydraulics, he obtained a Master in Technology & Innovation Management at Bologna Business School.

Since 1999 he has been working in the hydraulic field as Project Leader, Application Engineer and Technical Manager, focusing in particular on Directional Control Valves.

He has published several works and participated in several conferences; he has acquired various patents and recently received an international award for hydraulic innovation.

Today he carries out research mainly on efficient and sustainable solutions for the mobile machinery hydraulic.

Luca Riccò
Lead Engineer for 0D/CFD virtual validation activities for Motion Systems Engineering at Dana Off-Highway Drive and Motions Systems

Luca Riccò is the lead engineer for 0D/CFD virtual validation activities for Motion Systems Engineering at Dana Off-Highway Drive and Motions Systems. He is based in Reggio Emilia, Italy.

He joined Dana in February 2018 as Sr. Engineer in the fluid power laboratory. In October of the same year joined the FP division virtual validation team of which he took the leadership starting from February 2021.

Prior to join Dana, Luca worked in Casappa Spa as R&D engineer focusing on experimental activities for fluid power components design.

Luca earned a PhD degree in Industrial Engineering at University of Parma (Italy) presenting a study focused on energy recovery system for mobile hydraulic machines.

Marco Zecchi
Director of Engineer of Business Unit Gears, part of Danfoss Power Solutions

He earned his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Parma (Italy) with specialization in energy conversion systems and his Ph.D from Purdue University (IN, USA) with specialization in Fluid Power. Dr. Zecchi has 5-years research background in modeling, simulation and testing of External Gears and Axial Piston machines, with focus on energy efficiency, reliability, and noise emission, as well as 10-years’ experience in the Fluid Power industry. In his current role, he is leading a global RD&E organization with footprint in Europe, America and Asia and he is also responsible for Product Portfolio Management of the Gears business.
